Thanks to a Premier platform lift from movemanSKG, the prominent Highgate Business Centre in London is accessible to all and complies with the DDA.

It is equipped with a Premier platform lift, which allows wheelchair users to move safely between levels in the buildings foyer area The lift is part of a GBP500,000 refurbishment and means the centre can accommodate less able customers and workers

Phil Hardy, Building Manager at the Highgate Business Centre, is delighted; "Our new platform lift is of superior quality and is performing reliably".

"I have had positive feedback from users, who have experienced a smooth, pleasant transition between levels".

"movemanSKG completed the installation in just a day and provided a seamless, professional service".

Located on Highgate Road with its own parking area, the Highgate Business Centre is just minutes from Oxford Street and London's thriving city centre.

A number of rapidly expanding companies occupy the building and employ over 100 people between them.

The Premier allows wheelchair users to traverse a flight of stairs, which was previously an obstacle.

An incline lift, the Premier is ideal for applications where a vertical lift is not practical.

movemanSKG's Premier travels through inclines angled between 15 and 45 degrees on a wall-mounted track.

Hydraulically operated, it has low power requirements, running from a standard plug socket.

An indoor or outdoor lift, the Premier offers a generously sized platform and features mechanical ramps, which form wheel stops when the lift is in motion.

When not in use, the platform folds up, leaving the staircase unobstructed for pedestrians.

Phil continued; "As a public venue, the Highgate Business Centre has responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act".

"movemanSKG provided a simple, effective solution".

"The lift is easy to operate and handles our access needs well.".
