Mouchel Parkman has appointed David Bowen as its Design Divisional Manager in the company's Maidstone Business Unit.

David leads a team of 30 design professionals who provide architecture, quantity surveying, mechanical and electrical and clerk of works services to clients in Kent, Dorset, Oxfordshire, London and Essex.

The team's current focus is on the design of Dorset County Council's GBP32 million exemplar pathfinder school at Wimborne Minster - one of only three sustainability demonstration project schools in the UK - as well as schools in the London boroughs of Havering and Croydon.

David joins the team following a military career in the Royal Engineers and a consultancy job with Babcock.

His last appointment was on the Ministry of Defence's project team for a GBP2.5 billion PFI project.

Commenting on his appointment, David said: "I've been impressed by the commitment, professionalism and camaraderie shown by everyone in the design team and I'm pleased to be part of it".

Sue Miller, Business Unit Manager at the Maidstone office said: "David brings with him a wealth of wide-ranging experience which will be instrumental in guiding the design team into the future and bring added value to our clients.".
