Islington Parking Projects, a partnership between Islington Council and Mouchel Parkman, has won the Outstanding Achievement Award at British Parking Awards.
"This approach has great value for everyone; investors, technology companies and end users".
"It reduces the risk to investors by identifying only those technologies that have a clear market demand, provides technology firms with funding and market exposure and reduces end-user risk of product development," said Andrea Gysin, Head of Technology and Investment within Mouchel's utilities team.
"Until now TAG has only been operating in the utilities sector".
"Now we are opening up this opportunity to innovative property technologies".
"This is a great way to attract external investment into the local government property sector," added Andrea.
One technology in the pipeline is an Integrated Building Management Platform, a single graphical user interface (GUI) that connects different intelligent control systems.
It provides a cheaper automated solution for the efficient and complete management of buildings infrastructure and associated traffic management.
TAG has also supported the development and implementation of another novel technology - powerPerfector for Voltage Optimisation.
This has a direct impact on electricity consumption, it improves power quality and reduces maintenance costs allowing significant energy savings to be realised.
In a recent case study, powerPerfector helped a government building in Oxford, UK to reduce electricity consumption by around 17.9 per cent and the average baseload by 27.7 per cent, with an annual saving of 40,400 KwH, a reduction in CO2 of 17.37 tonnes and overall cost saving of GBP3,232.
