Mowlem contracts have clinched the top spots in two categories of the prestigious British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA) 2003.
When completed, the building will include a 250-seat studio theatre for public performances, classroom facilities for the full national curriculum; various dance studios as well as two dormitory blocks to accommodate both staff and pupils.
The project is a significant development as it will witness the re-location of all involved with the School from Camberley, Surrey into the heart of Birmingham.
The move will see an end to the schools 80 year association with Surrey and a new and exciting relationship with Birmingham begin.
Garry Whiting, Regional Director of Mowlem Building, Midlands said of the project: "Our experience nationally and in the Midlands within the education sector, enables us to offer more than just a build service, as it provides partnering and educational experience in every sense of the word." Due for completion in September 2004, the scheme will be complete in time for the new school year 2004 - 2005.
