Keynote address at Spotlight on Offsite event
Mtech Group announce that Leighton Andrews , Deputy Minister for Social Justice and Public Service Delivery will be the Keynote address at the annual Spotlight on Offsite event in Cardiff.
The combined exhibition and conference will be held on the 27 June 2007 at the City Hall.
Leighton was born in Cardiff and studied at the University of Wales, Bangor and the University of Sussex.
A former board member of Tai Cymru or Housing for Wales and co-founder of the Yes for Wales campaign, he was first elected to the Assembly on 1st May 2003 representing the Rhondda constituency.
Spotlight on Offsite focuses on key offsite industry developments in and around Wales and provides a comprehensive and balanced perspective of the rapidly emerging offsite manufacturing supply-chain.
Leighton's experience and knowledge presents him as an obvious choice to set the scene for the day by introducing distinguished speakers from a broad spectrum of organisations representing clients, construction professionals and suppliers.
The innovations covered by the conference programme will include framing systems in concrete, timber and steel; modular and volumetric systems; bathroom and kitchen pods; a range of pre-engineered building components and other complementary offsite technologies, as well as presentations from contractors and clients that will provide examples of projects delivered using these techniques.
This years conference will also present a Project Profile on a major mixed-use construction project in Wales which will for the first time take delegates through the design and build process step by step.
