Leading construction and interiors specialist Multibuild is creating a new £1.75 million Lakeland Limited store in Cheshire.
The new store, situated on Wilmslow Road in Handforth, will feature a striking glass and steel design and has a build programme of just 28 weeks The part brick, part structural glazing design is based on a 'Dutch Barn' concept to provide high airy ceilings and generous natural light

The two phase project comprises the demolition of an existing supermarket, erection of the new two storey steel frame structure and construction of the envelope including a large glass dome in the centre of the store.
Stockport-based Multibuild is also fitting-out the store's main retail area, first floor offices, and a 40 cover cafe, the first to be operated by Lakeland Limited.
Created within the pitched roofspace, the 'First Floor' caf? will overlook the surrounding area and will benefit from a small roof terrace.
Multibuild will also be creating the associated car parks and landscaping the vicinity.
Lakeland Limited is still a family-owned enterprise and has built its business on mail order success, now offering more than 2500 product lines through catalogues distributed to more than 1 million households.
In recent years it has also expanded its network of retail outlets, with 25 across the UK, mirroring the success of its original store in Windermere, Cumbria.
Damian Waters, Multibuild Commercial Director comments: "The Lakeland store is a high profile project which incorporates a distinctive design and we have worked closely with the architects to ensure the best use of the site and interior space.
Completing the project in time to take advantage of the pre-Christmas boom in business was a priority for Lakeland Limited, and the established customer base guarantees massive interest immediately the doors are open." Multibuild operates nationwide for an extensive portfolio of clients, including commercial bodies, education institutions, local authorities and the leisure industry.
