The UK's leading construction and fit-out specialist, Multibuild, has completed its £1.25m transformation of an old cinema in the centre of Durham into a Walkabout Australian theme bar.
Extending over a 6-month period the £1.5 million contract saw Multibuild construct Village Cheadle's new 3-storey extension and complete all the related interior fit-out work, including all mechanical and electrical services and a full decoration package.
The internal decoration specification mirrored that of a previous project recently completed by Multibuild at Village Bury, which helped Multibuild bring the project in ahead of schedule.
"A combination of our own experienced team members and an excellent client project team was another key factor in helping us finish early," adds Multibuild Contract Manager Mike Quinn.
Multibuild also undertook an extensive revamp of the hotel's car parking facilities to make room for additional vehicles and completed all the work while the rest of the hotel remained open to guests.
