Hotel extension project completed by Multibuild

One of the best-known and most prestigious hotels in the north west has recently been extended in a major project undertaken by construction and fit-out contractor Multibuild.

The £1.6 million, 29-week project has seen Multibuild add a 24-bedroom extension to the Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with the company undertaking every aspect of the work from construction through to interior fit-out This is latest in a growing list of new-build, extension and refurbishment projects that Multibuild has completed in the hotel sector and underlines the company's growing reputation in this area.

Working on behalf of the Prima Hotels Group, Multibuild added a three-storey metal-frame extension to the Stanneylands Hotel, and this was clad with a brick outer skin.

The company installed all the necessary mechanical and electrical services, completed the internal decoration work and also refurbished a number of the original bedrooms and hotel corridors.

All work was completed whilst the original hotel premises remained open for business, with Multibuild also completing the construction of a new entrance road and a separate service road to provide improved access to the hotel.
