Multibuild has demonstrated the wide range of new-build and refurbishment capabilities with an extensive project to upgrade one of the UK's top health and fitness clubs at the Cadbury House Hotel

An extensive project to upgrade one of the UK's top health and fitness clubs has demonstrated the wide range of new-build and refurbishment capabilities that are available from construction and fit-out contractor Multibuild The project has seen the construction of a brand new Health Club and Spa facility, plus the complete refurbishment of the existing conference and banqueting suite at the Cadbury House Hotel and Country Club in Congresbury near Bristol

To house the new £5.5 million health club and spa Multibuild constructed a new 2-storey building and completed a full interior fit out, installing a 20m x 12m swimming pool, a spa pool, steam rooms, saunas, treatment rooms, changing rooms, a reception area, offices, a bar and state-of-the-art gym facilities.

Multibuild also handled the demolition of the 1960s building which had previously housed the health club, and is now being converted into a 60-bedroom boutique style hotel.

Refurbishment of Cadbury House's existing conference and banqueting facilities also fell to Multibuild under a separate £1.5 Million contract.

Despite the extremely demanding 16-week schedule Multibuild completely refitted the 18th century building, stripping out the existing facilities and adding new conference facilities, bars, dining and reception areas.

All construction work and the installation of new mechanical and electrical services was completed by Multibuild.

Multibuild has considerable experience of working on this type of leisure sector project, and this combines with the company's extensive range of capabilities to allow it to undertake all aspects of a project such as this, and so offer clients a proven, single source solution.
