Multibuild has completed two prestigious new casino contracts on behalf of the Rank Group Gaming Division.
Multibuild has underlined the benefits that its specialist sector expertise brings to clients in the leisure industry by completing two prestigious new casino contracts on behalf of the Rank Group Gaming Division.
The construction and fit-out contractor has completed a variety of construction, refurbishment and fit-out work worth over GBP4 million to create two new Grosvenor Casinos in Reading and Luton.
Having previously completed similar projects for this client Multibuild was asked to extend the existing Grosvenor casino in Reading.
Four existing ground-floor retail units were incorporated into the existing first-floor premises, effectively doubling the overall size of the casino before an extensive programme of refurbishment and fit-out work transformed the interior.
"Working with existing premises meant that we were limited in terms of setting up the site and the storage facilities that were available to us," says Multibuild Operations Manager Ged Nolan, who managed both projects.
"We also had to accommodate the fact that the Reading casino also remained open for business throughout," he adds.
The second project in Luton saw Multibuild convert an existing metal-frame building into a new Grosvenor casino.
In addition to all the interior fit-out work Multibuild also created a new mezzanine floor, replaced the existing external cladding and added an impressive new entrance plus new external signage.
"Both projects had fairly demanding time schedules, but with the detailed experience we have of this and other types of leisure projects we were able to completed both jobs on schedule and to our normal high quality standards," adds Ged Nolan.
