Multibuild wins fit-out stage of Chester
project
Multibuild has been selected by Opus Land to undertake a GBP2.2 million contract to fit out a new Travelodge hotel within the development.
This latest success will see the company complete a full internal fit - out of the hotel which overlooks the remains of Chester's Roman amphitheatre, plus enabling works on three accompanying retail units, with the work scheduled to be completed in July Multibuild had to overcome significant logistical issues during the original build phase of the project, including limited access to the site because of congestion problems in the city centre

Restrictions imposed by the pedestrianisation of the city centre also meant that all deliveries had to be completed before 10am and this placed extra pressure on the Multibuild team.
Space on the site was also severely restricted, resulting in the need for all materials required for the construction phase to be stored within the footprint of the building itself.
