Mumford and Wood offers bespoke windows and doors

A Mumford and Wood product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 26, 2010

Aluminium and timber composite windows, doorsets and bi-fold doors from Mumford and Wood's Contemporary range have created a style-statement on a private new build home in Surrey.

Alu-clad composite windows, doorsets and bi-fold doors were chosen for their maintenance-free exterior and modular lines.

The interior finish provides the warmth and aesthetic qualities of natural wood.

The homeowners ended their fenestration search with a visit to Mumford and Wood's purpose built manufacturing facility in Essex.

They found that no other bi-fold door manufacturer could supply bespoke windows and doorsets in the same material.

Mumford and Wood understood the specific and complex brief.

Bi-fold doors have been used extensively to the back elevation at ground and first floor levels of the large, three-storey, five-bedroom property.

These high performance Contemporary alu-clad windows and doorsets are available with a Tilt and Turn operating system, are double or triple glazed, and weathersealed for thermal efficiency.

Engineered, knot free Larch is used as standard and delivered to site with three coats of paint or stain.

The aluminium cladding is available in a choice of RAL colours.

Tilt and Turn windows and doors meet enhanced security standards to EN1627, equivalent to BS 7950.
