Marley Deepflow solves guttering issues at hospice

Marley Plumbing and Drainage has supplied its high-capacity Deepflow150 rainwater system to St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich.

The hospice initially called in contractors Plasufix to install guttering on two new extensions.

The original plan had been to install new guttering that matched the existing 114mm square profile used on the rest of the hospice.

However to solve an overflow problem, Plasufix was asked to come up with an alternative for the entire roof area.

Richard Langfield of Plasufix had heard about the new Deepflow150 product and requested some samples.

He realised that it met all the requirements of the job, with the added benefit of a longer maintenance free life and a wider choice of colours.

"Due to the roof problems, I specified Deepflow150 due to its high capacity and flow rate of more than 6l/s, in a brown shade to blend in with the rest of the building".

"The product was exceptionally straightforward to install and the fascia bracket design gives a sleek and professional look to the roof edge," commented Richard Langfield.

Deepflow150 is suitable for small to medium commercial projects, flats and industrial applications.

It also benefits from Marley's advanced life4 technology; gutters and downpipes with life4 have high gloss levels and keep their colour for up to four times longer than standard PVCu rainwater systems.

Products have been subjected to the artificial ageing tests of EN 607:2004 and EN 12200-1: 2000 and even after four times the length of time of the standard test, the extent of colour fade was still well below that permitted in the European Standard.
