Neaco has continued the expansion of its sales team with the appointment of Jim McLean as technical sales representative for Scotland.

Neaco, the specialist in modular building systems and adaptive bathing products, has continued the expansion of its sales team with the appointment of Jim McLean overseeing the company's entire product range as technical sales representative for Scotland A former mechanical engineer with 14 years of wide-ranging experience in technical sales, Jim will be covering Neaco's range of special needs bathroom applications alongside the company's Spectrum modular balustrade systems, Techdek aluminium decking systems and Louvredek sunshade/walkway systems

His engineering background provides an invaluable knowledge of the type of precision manufacturing which is a key element of Neaco's commitment to quality.

"Neaco is a company with a long history of product innovation, continually developing new products and rejuvenating its existing portfolio with innovations," said Jim.

"The past 12 months has been no different with the introduction of a new range of Juliet Balconies and two new tray sizes for the acclaimed Neatdek 3 true level access shower system".

"I will certainly be busy discussing these latest product launches with architects, specifiers and care professionals throughout Scotland." Established in 1972, Neaco supplies architectural aluminium and stainless steel applications to government and public bodies, local authorities, housing associations, and the major utilities, as well as to an impressive list of blue-chip organisations.

Based in Malton, North Yorkshire, the company has extensive manufacturing facilities with the capability to meet bespoke orders.

Spectrum's Unique Theatre Performance Draws Praise Neaco's Spectrum modular balustrade system demonstrated its ability to adapt to bespoke designs when it was installed with a unique etching feature in the new Performing Arts Building at Driffield High School, commissioned by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

The extensive facility was designed by Atkins' Leeds based team of architects, to feature an Elizabethan-style theme, including a two-tone external finish, for the theatre.

The distinctive etching pattern on Spectrum's smoked glass infill formed part of the theme and the architects are delighted with the completed balustrade installation, praising both its aesthetic qualities and performance benefits.

"The standard range of Spectrum modular components is wide enough to meet virtually any design permutation, but The Performing Arts Building project is an illustration of how, when necessary, Spectrum can easily be modified to accommodate architects' bespoke requirements," said Neaco's sales director, Alan Green.

"Some years ago we incorporated illuminated stanchion caps as a bespoke feature on a partition installation and, in a similar vein, the etching design at Driffield High School shows how our range of infills can also be tailored to individual needs".

Suitable for both internal and external installation, Spectrum handrail and balustrade systems are available in stainless steel or aluminum nylon powder coated in a wide range of solid or metallic colours.

The choice of balustrade infills includes toughened glass, rails, mesh, punched panels and grille panels.
