Newey and Eyre, the UK's leading electrical distributor, has been appointed as the supplier of all common bulk purchase electrical equipment and products for the new Terminal 5 Project at Heathrow.

The three and a half year agreement will see Newey and Eyre provide a wide range of electrical products and accessories for the construction of the new terminal, which could range from lamps and switches to heaters and cables A Newey and Eyre project team will be on site to service all requirements and will be backed up by the company's London branches

Newey and Eyre teamed up with major mechanical distributor BSS, in a collaborative bid which offered unique added benefits and joint services.

Both are leaders in their fields with a vast wealth of expertise, which includes worldwide supply networks supported by local services, which were seen as invaluable to the project.

Michael Puckett, Building Services Integration Leader at the T5 Project commented: "We were impressed with the Hagemeyer/BSS approach to collaborative team working at all levels, their extensive product knowledge and the extra value-added services they could offer the project.
