In response to this revelation the electrical wholesaler has launched an exciting new marketing campaign, 'Mad About Newlec', which embraces the popularity of the well-loved range among contractors and installers.
Customers will see new adverts depicting a series of people who love Newlec so much that they have the logo tattooed on their arm, have named their pet dog or partner after the brand, or are so fiercely protective over Newlec products that they have fitted a 'Newlec on board' sign to their van.
Luke Biddle, marketing manager for Newey and Eyre, says: "We talk to our customers regularly about how they feel about our service and product offer.
We have discovered that so many customers appreciate not only the fantastic quality and performance, but the affordability of Newlec products and the increased profit margin they offer as a result.
"We wanted the campaign to reflect the fun side of the brand, as well as communicating key messages about the benefits it offers, and the feedback we have received so far has been really positive and we plan to build the theme into many of the exciting promotions we are doing this year".
Look out for the opportunity to become exclusively 'Certified Newlec', coming later in the year.
Mad about Newlec-ers will be given the chance to join an exclusive club offering member benefits, including product discounts, throughout the year.
