Ross Electrical's Glasgow branch has organised a major trade show for Scottish suppliers to demonstrate their latest products and services.

Although the Scottish electrical trade continues to play a vital role in championing innovation and excellence within the industry, it has not benefited from a dedicated trade show event for nearly 10 years - that is, until now The pioneering show, set to take place on 17 April, has been organised by branch manager Billy Richmond with the support of the local Ross Electrical branch network, a part of Newey and Eyre

The event is being held at Glasgow's famous Hampden Park national stadium, home of the Scottish Football Association.

Bringing together the best of the industry, over 50 key Scottish suppliers, including Thorn Lighting, MK, Eaton MEM, Square D, Dimplex, Vent Axia and Wylex, will be exhibiting at the event, which will attended by key customers, specifiers and decision makers from across the country.

To provide further information, numerous free CPD accredited seminars will run throughout the day, where suppliers will offer a detailed insight into a range of key topics, such as the 17th edition of the Wiring Regulations, new building legislation and the WEEE Directive.

As an added bonus for attendees, guided stadium tours will run throughout the day.

Anyone unable to attend the tour will be given a free stadium tour voucher to use at their convenience.

Attendees will also be able to enter a free grand raffle, for a chance to win a number of top prizes.

Billy Richmond at Ross Electrical explains: "The electrical market is constantly evolving and adapting in response to heightened consumer demand, new regulations and, of course, the growing concern for the future of our environment.

This is why it is so important for us, as an industry in Scotland, to have an opportunity to come together to address these issues, discuss market developments and generally network with colleagues.

"There hasn't been a trade show in Scotland for more than 10 years, so we decided, as part of our ongoing commitment to provide customers with the resources they need, that it was important to address this issue.

Following months of preparation, backed by the overwhelming support of our suppliers, we are proud to announce details of the Ross Electrical Scottish trade show, which I am confident will prove groundbreaking in helping Scottish companies and individuals unite and continue to grow their businesses".

The Ross Electrical trade show will start at 10am and run until 7pm.

A hot buffet, as well as tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.
