Improving standards of health and safety
A major drive to improve standards of health and safety in the Scottish house building industry has been launched.
Alan is one of 27 site managers across the North, to get a Seal of Excellence which was presented at an awards lunch in York (September 15).
Out of 18,000 site managers in the whole of the UK it places Alan in the top 100.
"It's fantastic to have converted the Quality award into a Seal of Excellence," says 50 year old Alan who has worked for Skipton Properties for 20 years.
Last month Alan was presented with his Pride in the Job quality award which made him eligible for the highly coveted Seal of Excellence award, which he has successfully achieved.
"Pride in the Job is the only national competition to focus on the site manager's role in producing high quality homes so it is a great acheivement- for me and for the Brambles site".
Said Geoff Egginton NHBC's north east regional director: "It is an exceptional achievement for Alan and Skipton Properties".
"Seals of Excellence winners are chosen for building the best quality new homes and managing their site to exceptional standard and high production".
Skipton Properties' success is a tribute to the company's visionary approach to design and consistently high standards which means it is one of the region's most respected residential property developers.
The company provides high quality domestic housing with most of its current projects based on brownfield sites along Keighley's Worth Valley area and Bingley's canal frontage.
