NHBC running three-day course to help Planning Supervisors come to grips with new regulations and make the transition to the new CDM Co-ordinator role.

One of the most significant changes contained in the revised Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) introduced in April 2007, was the replacement of the Planning Supervisor with the CDM Co-ordinator role The new role is designed to improve the communication and co-ordination of teams and is pivotal in ensuring the proactive management of health and safety, requiring a higher level of competence than ever before

NHBC is running a three-day course designed to help Planning Supervisors come to grips with the new regulations and make the transition to the new CDM Co-ordinator role.

Simon Mantle, NHBC's Health and Safety Manager, said: "The changes to the CDM regulations are seen as the single biggest change to hit the construction industry for over 12 years".

"With this in mind, it is essential that the industry has a clear understanding of the changes and the implications within their own field".

The courses will be held at the following locations on the following dates:.

London - April 28-30.

Milton Keynes - April 1-3.

Solihull - April 2-4.
