Certass sponsors NHIC award for glazing excellence

For the second year running, Certass is sponsoring a major category in the National Home Improvement Council's (NHIC) annual awards scheme.

The Certass category is for Excellence in Glazing.

The NHIC Annual Awards have been running since 1975 and have become one of the most highly regarded awards schemes in the UK housing calendar.

Amongst the other categories for 2010 Awards are those reflecting the current priorities and pressures affecting all housing providers: the latest requirements for energy efficiency to help reduce households' carbon footprints, the most outstanding private or public development using recycled urban land or buildings, best example of upgraded roofing stock, fuel safety in the home and, of course, innovation of which there seems to be an abundance amongst the UK's local authorities and housing associations.

Winners and runners up are notified during October and the Awards are presented at an NHIC Awards Luncheon in November 2010.
