A complex and intricate structure was sand cast by Norse Precision Castings of Bedford for the window aperture of a religious building in the Middle East.

A complex and intricate structure formed from inter-locking arcs and circles formed in aluminium and some 2 metres overall diameter was sand cast by Norse Precision Castings of Bedford for the window aperture of a religious building in the Middle East As a one-off, sand casting was probably the only economic production method, and aluminium one of the few materials with sufficient strength and corrosion resistance

The real challenge however came with the tight tolerances of 0.15% (3mm on the 2m diameter), necessary to fit the already made aperture, set several metres above ground level.

With only 4 weeks to manufacture, the promise from Norse Precision Castings was "delivery on-time and that it would fit ".

They did and it did ! When tolerances and lead times are short call 01234 217091 for accurate assurances on prototype and short production runs of aluminium castings.

Norse Precision also provide a fast service in rigid polyurethane mouldings.
