Notifier fire alarm system installed at University
A fully-addressable Notifier ID3000-based fire safety system has been installed by local Notifier Engineered Systems Distributor, Sovereign Alarms, at Brighton University's new Checkland Building.
The alarm system is providing the very latest in fire protection.
This follows a number of other recent high-profile installations in schools and colleges, including Middlesborough College and the University of Northampton.
The Notifier ID3000 system incorporates both loop-based sounders and beam detection for the Checkland Building's central atrium.
It was essential that the chosen fire system was both future-proof and robust, in meeting the tough demands of the University's hard-working environment.
Sovereign Alarms has five years' experience maintaining the University's existing systems and recommended a Notifier solution as suitable to the fire safety needs of the Checkland Building.
In particular, the cost effective ID Series' flexible and intuitive design makes it easy to configure in meeting the complex cause and effect requirements of such large, multi-use sites essential in rapidly isolating the source of any incident.
Notifier's durable and proven construction offers unmatched reliability and ensures that false alarms are kept to a minimum, providing a high level of protection to staff, students and visitors.
The Notifier implementation forms part of a broader programme of maintenance and new building work across the University estate.
Following a competitive tendering process, Sovereign Alarms has recently completed work to install Notifier equipment ID3000-based systems on the University of Brighton campus in Eastbourne, including the Hillbrow Chelsea School, the Hillbrow Sports Centre and on the main Brighton Moulsecoomb site in the new Huxley Building.
