This continued success is due to a growing customer base, stretching beyond Darlington to the rest of County Durham.
Gordon Bache, NYT Darlington's manager, said: "We are thrilled to reach this milestone million so quickly".
"It's all down to our customers, many of whom come back to us again and again, which is a testament to our high quality products and dedicated customer service".
As well as flagship products, such as hardwood floors and doors, fencing and decking, new customers are attracted to an expanding range of new products, including builders' merchant products and natural stone paving.
Nick Kershaw, sales director at NYT, said: "Darlington's success is great news, helping NYT to broaden its customer base and achieve our aim to be a one stop shop for developers, self build enthusiasts and the public".
Darlington's success follows on from the success of the NYT Group, which in November achieved its best ever monthly sales figure of GBP1.5 million.
NYT employs over 160 people in the region and is projecting a turnover in excess of GBP15 million for this year, up over GBP2.5 million on last year.
The company holds environmental certificates from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and Forest Products Chain of Custody (FPCC).
