Archiving
With the addition of flash card archiving, the Vista SoloT is now a complete digital recording environment.
The latest version of the Vista SoloT Digital Video Recorder (DVR) features a built-in CF (compact flash) card slot, able to take up to 512MB CF cards[1] The unit automatically downloads a copy of QuickWave viewing software to the CF card for viewing images on the user's PC (USBMF Flash Card reader and Flash 128 [128MB card] are available separately)

Swift Fire And Security Selects Vista SmartTel
Swift, the nationwide fire and security specialist, has selected Vista SmartTel as the key transmission platform for its new Video Receiving Centre (VRC), based at Salford, Greater Manchester.
Building on the success of the Vista SOLO-80, the latest Vista SOLO-80F with flash card archiving provides the final component to digital recording as Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director of Vista, explains: "With the addition of flash card archiving, the Vista SoloT is now a complete digital recording environment.
Our research indicates that nine out of ten individual incidents can be archived using a 128MB flash card and that this is considerably cheaper, quicker and more convenient than using the removable hard disk for this purpose.
Furthermore flash card technology is very familiar to any user with a digital camera; just as the domestic VCR spurred the growth in VCR analogue recording, so we expect the familiar flash card to support the growth in low end digital archiving." The number of images that can be downloaded onto a 128MB flash card depends on file size (which is affected by whether images are colour or monochrome) and recording speed (pps).

The Vista SoloT is the ideal solution for existing CCTV applications that would otherwise replace an existing faulty or worn out traditional TL VCR machine with a new one.
Equally, the Vista SoloT is suitable for all new single channel users of CCTV.
This includes all small to medium sized retail, warehousing, office and commercial premises.
"Market compatibility was a key development driver for the Vista Solo", says Mark Pritchard.
"We wanted to introduce a unit that could instantly be plugged into an existing user's CCTV installation without creating knock on implications that might incur the end user additional expense or even ask them to question the value of migrating to digital recording.
We believe no other single channel DVR scores as highly on market compatibility as the Vista SoloT and that this will prove decisive in the unit becoming Europe's leading single channel DVR." The Vista SoloT DVR is compatible with the vast majority of industry-leading multiplexers including Vista NPX, GCD, VLM, VCD, Dedicated Micros, Robot, Kalatel, Baxall, Philips, Pelco, Panasonic and Tecton.
The Vista SoloT DVR is available exclusively from Vista, (www.vista-cctv.com), the UK's premier brand of CCTV equipment, and comes with Vista's highly regarded 5-year product warranty (excludes hard disk and flash card).
