Norbain has unveiled the seminar program for this year's LIVE 05 regional security events.

Norbain has unveiled an exciting seminar program for this year's LIVE 05 regional security events.

At each venue three seminars will be presented by speakers that include Professor Martin Gill, Director of Perpetuity Research and Consultancy International and a Professor of Criminology at the University of Leicester, Ian Fowler, Norbain's Technical Training Manager, and representatives of local Police forces.

LIVE 05 is the country's definitive regional security event bringing the very latest in electronic security products to cities from Dublin and Belfast to Glasgow and London this September and October.

Norbain SD is the UK's largest distributor of electronic security solutions.

At each venue the seminar program will get underway at 11am with a presentation by a representative one of the country's foremost Police practitioners in CCTV evidence gathering on the topic of 'The Impact of Moving to Digital Video Evidence'.

The seminar will consider how digital recording is changing the life of the average Investigating Officer, and the issues installers and end users should take into account in designing systems and devising operational procedures.

At midday, Ian Fowler will address delegates on the topic of 'Driving Up Profits', an exploration of seven value-added ways for installers and integrators to improve their sales performance and further use the data that security systems create.

Ian will look at the diversity of non-security applications for CCTV and the commercial opportunities this presents, for instance using ANPR to improve customer service to visitors.

The third seminar each day starting at 2.15pm will be on topic of 'Integration in Perspective: where do we go from here?'.

Professor Martin Gill, who has been involved with numerous and wide ranging research intoCCTV, will examine how the industry needs to move beyond the self-evident fact that system integration is a positive given, and instead focus on the detailed project management issues that must be addressed if integration is to deliver its much heralded benefits.

"This is the strongest seminar program yet", declares Huw Edwards, Marketing Communications Manager for Norbain.

"At each venue three high quality speakers will address three pressing issues for the industry today".

"Delegates are assured of gaining invaluable insights that they can apply directly for the commercial benefit of their own businesses as well as enhancing their own level of industry expertise".
