Vista has announced complete compliance for all products in response to the new Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.

Vista has announced complete compliance for all products in response to the new Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.

The directive, which came into force on 1st July 2006, restricts the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic products.

These substances include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

"Under the current guidelines, Vista regard none of its electrical and electronic products as contravening the directive and all are manufactured to the new directive standards," states Andrew Pigram, Vista brand director.

"Any items not able to comply with the standards have been discontinued from the range".
