New range of PRO outdoor detectors at
Norbain LIVE
Xtralis, manufacturers of the ADPRO range of total site security solutions, launch its revised and expanded PRO series external PIR detectors at Norbain LIVE events starting in September.
The ADPRO PRO Series are highly sensitive, standalone passive infra-red detectors designed for outdoor protection that will detect human targets up to 150 metres (500 feet) away (depending on the model) by sensing radiation differences between them and the background Due to the passive operation of the unit, the area being protected cannot be identified by the intruder, and the detectors are reliable in difficult conditions including low visibility, snow or fog

Swift Fire And Security Selects Vista SmartTel
Swift, the nationwide fire and security specialist, has selected Vista SmartTel as the key transmission platform for its new Video Receiving Centre (VRC), based at Salford, Greater Manchester.
All models in the range have the ability to adjust sensitivity to suit conditions, and adaptive threshold circuitry that reduces the number of nuisance alarms caused by moving vegetation, small animals and sudden environmental changes.
All detectors are contained within a weather-proof housing and protected against dust and moisture to ensure reliable operation even in the harshest conditions.
High performance variants are available for use in the most extreme environments, i.e.intense heat or cold, where the highest performance and detection capabilities are paramount.
The thermostatically controlled heater maintains a consistent internal temperature to provide the optimum in detection sensitivity and ensuring reliable operation even under harsh weather conditions.
This announcement follows after news that a new strategic partnership between Norbain and Xtralis will come into force on the 1st October 2007.
Jeff Kitching, Sales Director EMEA Security at Xtralis, comments: "Our support at these events will provide the platform for both Norbain and ADPRO to demonstrate our new relationship which is designed to enhance the support for the integrators and installers".
"Our goal is to show our latest ADPRO digital video security products and to provide the integrator and end user with seamless security solutions which exceed the risk management demands of today's business.".
