Live footage on demand with Vista PVM monitors

A Norbain product story

Vista has released a range of monitors developed specifically for the retail market for Point of Sale (PoS) applications.

They allow promotional information to be run on a CCTV display as required or according to specific schedules and, because they are connected across a company's network, they can be programmed remotely via a laptop or PC.

These sleek, modern monitors are unique to the market as no other CCTV monitor has the ability to upload information to internal Hard Disk Drives (HDDs).

This give the installer the added advantage of being able to configure them prior to installation.

A covert colour camera has been integrated into the design and can be switched to display the captured images on the monitor should it be required.

Emergency information such as evacuation details can also be displayed.

"The monitors allow users to switch between advertising and live footage," says Mark Pritchard, divisional director of Vista.

"Each monitor can display CCTV images and then automatically switch to promotioal video or text on detection of motion, either as a full screen image or as Picture in Picture.
