Ecological Paint From Cows
Casein, from Natural Building Technologies (NBT) is an ecologically sound paint made from milk. NBT's Casein is a practical alternative to traditional polluting paints.
It is pleasant, easy to use and long lasting (some has survived from Roman times 2000 years ago) and is virtually non-polluting Yet, when mixed with NBT's natural pigments it can produce anything from deep vibrant colours through to delicate pastel shades or stunning decorative effects

Unlike modern petroleum based paints, Casein emits absolutely no harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), it contains no Titanium Dioxide, preservatives or solvents other than water.
It has been called the "Paint of human kindness".
Casein covers well and can be used not just on wallpaper, walls and ceilings, but also on furniture, wood, stone, clay, and many other materials.
It has an attractive soft matt finish and is highly 'breathable' making it suitable for both modern and historical buildings Concern has naturally grown in recent years over the environmental impact of VOCs emitted by complex chemicals such as modern paints.
Pollution levels inside a building are commonly 10 times higher than outside! There have been high profile campaigns against issues ranging from the increase in Asthma and allergies through to sick building syndrome yet the use of toxic and environmentally damaging materials continues to grow.
