Dry Lining With Clay Is Environmentally
Sound
Natural Building Technology, leaders in supplying environmental products, have produced a range of clay dry-lining boards as a direct alternative to plasterboard or lath and plaster.
The boards help meet the modern environmental standards and concerns and, at the same time, offer an impressively low thermal conductivity of just 0.14 W/m k The boards are a composite of clay, reed and hessian
The reeds (from managed reed beds) run along and across the board length and the board is faced on both sides with hessian.
This acts as reinforcement and a plaster key.
The constituents are mixed wet and formed into panels, then cut to length and width.
The boards are ideal for both internal walls and ceilings and, additionally, influence the building's environment by regulating temperature, absorbing moisture and odours and insulating against sound.
The boards can either be painted or plastered.
Being manufactured from natural products the boards are ecologically sustainable, recyclable, have low embodied energy and are 'Environmentally Friendly'.
