Natural Building Technology (NBT) now supplies two separate ranges of high performance, plasters, one clay and one lime based, including both self-coloured and natural.

To meet the rapidly growing demand for ecologically sustainable plasters, especially from housing association and local authority clients, Natural Building Technology (NBT) now supplies two separate ranges of high performance, plasters, one clay and one lime based, including both self-coloured and natural Colours include blue, green, grey, orange, red and yellow, but they all offer an unusually attractive designer-quality finish to a room without the need for paint or further decoration

They can be used on new or historic buildings.

As well as being easy to apply, NBT's clay Bayosan and Claytec plaster ranges are fully "breathable" and provide a rapid response to changing internal conditions with their huge capacity to absorb moisture.

The effect of this is that many of the problems of "sick building syndrome", such as asthma, moulds, bronchial illnesses etc are minimised and a healthy and comfortable living environment is assured.

The plasters have all of the desirable qualities of a modern plaster.

Clay plasters are unusual as they harden by drying and no chemical reaction takes place - so they remain workable for a long time and can even be re-worked at a later date simply by the addition of water if required.

Yet they are hard, rugged and extremely long-lasting Being completely natural, the plasters have extremely low embodied energy and are completely sustainable.

They fix to the underlying substrate by mechanical bonding and are suitable for use over a wide range of dry surfaces, including masonry, clayboard, reedboard, lime and clay.

Clay top-coat plasters can also be used over gypsum plaster and plasterboard.
