Rollalong Ltd (a leading UK manufacturer of portable, temporary, semi-permanent and permanent buildings) have recently added two further Nu-Star Power Pushers to their existing fleet of four units

The two new Power Pushers are used to move the trolleys holding the building wall-panels from the sub-assembly workshop into the main building assembly area.

These trolleys can weigh up to 2,000Kgs.

Rod Brown, Rollalong's production co-ordinator explained; "The first four Power Pushers have been used daily since their delivery in February 2003.

These two additional units have enabled us to further reduce our dependence on forklifts and free up more floor space to help meet our increased demand." Typically used to help increase productivity and reduce the likelihood of workplace injury, the Power Pusher is a pedestrian operated, battery powered, tug unit designed to push/pull rolling loads up to 40,000Kg in weight.

Measuring just 1.4m long and 670mm wide, the Power Pusher is completely self-contained, has its own on-board battery charging system (240V or 110V input) and may be used both inside and outside.

Nu-Star offer a bespoke design and manufacturing service to meet demand from an ever growing range of industrial customers across Europe.

Steve Mather, Nu-Star's Technical Director, commented; "We are delighted to see Rollalong realising the benefits of the Power Pusher in this fashion.

Increasingly we are being approached by other companies looking to reduce their use of forklifts, especially when their load may be more safely pushed/pulled rather than lifted up." Further information on Power Pushers available from: Nu-Star Material.
