Oasys will soon release the latest version of the geotechnical suite, which not only has a raft of general and specific improvements, but also a number of new programs.

Two piling programs, Pile and Drive, are released as Beta and Full versions respectively, FrewNodes, a utility program to calculate node positions for Frew is included, and Tunset can now calculate the soil movements caused by mining.

If you want to help us by taking part in the beta testing program, please let us know.

Like its DOS namesake, Pile calculates the vertical load carrying capacities of a range of individual piles in a layered soil deposit, whether in frictional or cohesive soils.

Drive is a one-dimensional dynamics program that analyses the stresses and displacements during pile driving.
