Tracpipe Has New Bsi Kitemark Licence
TracPipe stainless steel semi-rigid gas pipe is quickly becoming the recognised alternative to traditional rigid pipe installed between meter and appliance.
BSi have revised BS 7838, the Specification for Corrugated stainless steel semi-rigid pipe and associated fittings for low pressure gas pipework of up to DN 50, and OmegaFlex were proud to be the first to receive a BSi Kitemark Licence to cover the TracPipe range of pipe and fittings in sizes DN12 to DN50 TracPipe offers speed and ease of installation as the main benefits to gas installers for gas piping in residential and commercial premises, housing, flats, school laboratories, industrial premises and greenhouses

Tracpipe Used At Bailey Prefabrication Factory
NG Bailey and Co was one of the first contractors to use TracPipe and has since used TracPipe on a number of contracts nationwide.
Contractors installing TracPipe are seeing installation times drop by 70% or more compared to traditional steel or copper, with the additional safety benefit of a vastly reduced number of joints.
TracPipe is available from the regional branches of Pipeline Center (over 90 throughout the UK) either on long length reels or individual cut lengths.
It can be laid like electric cable.
No soldering or welding is necessary, eliminating the heat hazard from site.
The patented AutoFlare fitting provides a gas-tight joint and no special tools are required.
TracPipe is tested and Kitemarked by BSi and independently tested and approved by BG Technology to BS 7838, for working pressures to 75 mbar, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases.
Director John Garrod commented, "We were delighted to be the first to receive our Kitemark Licence to the amended British Standard.
Contractors involved with gas installations want the assurance that the product is safe, tested and approved.
TracPipe's speed and ease of installation assists the registered gas installer in getting the job done safely and efficiently, at a time when nationally we have a skill shortage.".
