The main Blaze Head Office and manufacturing plant is based in Broadstairs, Kent.
In 1985, a second factory was opened in Kings Norton, Birmingham to service clients in the north of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The continuous success of this Midlands base led the Board of Directors to invest £300,000 into a purpose built factory at Arden Park in Frankley, comprising 20,000 ft 2 of space.
SBM ceramic heaters, operating with natural gas, were chosen to heat these new industrial premises.
The total installed capacity is 108 kW, covering 12.000ft2 of heated area.
This heating technique was selected because it is the most energy-efficient and provides immediate heat at floor level, even with the loading bay doors open.
Also, it does not generate air or dust draughts, which is essential for the specific activity of the company involving polyester coating and silk-screening.
David Cund, Managing Director of the SBM Midlands distributor Radiant Heating Supplies Ltd.
of Birmingham, said "This is the first time TracPipe semi-rigid gas piping has been used in the installations of SBM heaters and we were very impressed with how light and easy it is to handle, compared with traditional gas piping.
The installation was done in lightening speed, cutting the estimated time by at least 60%.
We will certainly suggest the use of TracPipe on future contracts".
This innovative product, manufactured by OmegaFlex Ltd dramatically reduces the installation time compared to rigid steel or copper tube, since it is available in long continuous lengths.
The heating installation at Blaze Neon was completed in 7 days by a team of 3 fitters.
The unique combination of SBM ceramic heaters and TracPipe offers a modern, reliable and efficient heating system at a competitive price.
Suitable for residential, commercial and industrial installations, TracPipe is available in sizes from DN12 to DN50 and is used for natural gas and butane/propane installations, generally between meter and appliance.
TracPipe conforms to BS7838, is Kitemarked by BSI and approved and tested by Advantica for working pressures to 75 mbar.
Safe and proven, TracPipe comes on long length reels, typically up to 75 metres, has fewer joints and faster installation time and does not require heat or any special tools.
TracPipe is available from the nationwide branches of Pipe Center and BSS and through B.E.S.
Ltd (catalogue sales).
