TracPipe stainless steel gas pipe is fast becoming the recognised alternative to traditional rigid copper or steel, installed between meter and appliance.
BSI Kitemarked to BS7838, it is suitable for natural gas, propane or butane at working pressures up to 75mbar To support the use of this latest piping, trainers themselves at the Gas Centre have received up-to-the minute training in the use of TracPipe from Omegaflex trainers.
Training Packs, which include Design and Installation Specifications and TracPipe brochures, together with a useful CD, are being distributed by OmegaFlex to colleges and assessment centres and TracPipe staff are working round the clock to meet the requirement to train trainers.
TracPipe's Kitemark Licence was issued in 1999, followed by approval by BG Technology (now Advantica) in 2000 and TracPipe became available in the UK and Eire from late 2000.
