Bathroom designer and manufacturer Off Site Solutions has developed an anti-ligature model to add to its range of bathroom pods.

Bathroom designer and manufacturer Off Site Solutions has developed an anti-ligature model to add to its range of bathroom pods.

The anti-ligature features of the newly designed pod, which comply with the requirements of HTM64, include Corian surfaces and taps and toilets that operate by sensor rather than conventional fittings.

The built-in anti-ligature design will meet the specific demands of projects where the building occupants need to be protected from harm without compromising the functionality or privacy of the bathrooms.

Hospitals, particularly mental health facilities, and detention units regard anti-ligature design as a fundamental requirement in their buildings' specification.

Sales Manager, Amanda Rickard commented: "By bringing all of these anti-ligature features together in a proven pod design we are removing much of the headache from specifiers who would otherwise have to source their specification from different manufacturers with all the incumbent problems this can present".

"In addition, specification of our pods for a project has now been proven to be a very cost-effective solution for many new-build developments and the introduction of these anti-ligature features vastly improves the appeal of these units for a range of markets".

The anti-ligature designs have already been used for a range of healthcare projects that demanded medium to high security anti-ligature features.
