OmegaIP is to commission a survey at this years Total Workforce Management event in Olympia to obtain detailed information on how lone working is perceived within organisations and what measures are currently in place to protect employees.

The estimated number of incidents of violence experienced by workers in 2002/03 was 849,000 (according to government figures) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has already recognised a link between lone working and violence, and in 1993 published various case studies.

These cover a variety of occupations including sales people, service engineers, estate agents, shop workers and taxi drivers and are all available on the HSE web site.

The OmegaIP survey is aimed at understanding how lone workers can be better protected, is it via technology, training, ensuring safety policies are adhered to or a combination of all of these contributing factors.

OmegaIP is the industry leader in automated alarm management for Lone Worker protection for those on and off site.

OmegaIP products provide state-of-the-art communications with time, cost and efficiency benefits for both users and network administrators whilst enabling employers to help protect their workforce inline with current Government legislation requirements.
