An Omega Roofing Plastics product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 30, 2007

Mardome Rooflights are a safe and secure way to provide natural daylight into a dwelling

Suitable for new builds, refurbishment projects and all built up flat roofs, the domes are moulded from premium quality polycarbonate flat sheet, offering an impact resistance 200 times that of glass.

Supplied by Omega Plastics, the domes are an attractive and environmentally friendly way to bring light into a building.

Available with either a clear, bronze or opal tint, there are five separate dome options to suit all budgets and requirements.

The Ultra option is the superior range that offers maximum security and high levels of waterproofing.

The Premier option is a durable range of secure aluminium dome rooflights that are reliable, aesthetically pleasing and provide ventilation into the dwelling.

The Surefit option is the most popular high security polycarbonate dome.

The Trade option is a cost-effective, quality rooflight that can be used for a wide range of applications, whilst the Reflex option is a dome only option that is ideal for refurbishment projects where the kerb is still sound.

Talking about the benefits of rooflights, Gavin Allen, Managing Director of Omega Plastics said: "With a maximum light transmission of up to 89%, these rooflights can help to alleviate false lighting requirements in dwellings and subsequently reduce carbon emissions".

"They allow you to take full advantage of natural light and can help brighten up any interior space.".
