Eco- friendly Onduline

An Onduline Building Products product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 8, 2006

Onduline provides roof covering for a newly built Ecocabin in the Shropshire Hills.

Constructed using eco-materials, Onduline was an ideal roof material for the Ecocabin as manufactured from organic fibres it has a low environmental impact.

The lightweight properties of Onduline also made it easy to fix to the cabin's timber frame of local Douglas Firs.

Principles of ecological design were followed throughout this project, with the interior of the cabin furnish with recycled or reclaimed materials and renewable energy sources providing hot water and heating.

Onduline corrugated sheets suited the style of building with their simplicity and durability.

And the green sheets used provided an overall appearance complimentary to the surrounding area.
