BioRegional Development Group is launching a buyers club for sustainable building products called One Product Products (OPP).

This project is supported by WWF, BRE, DEFRA, the Housing Corporation and SEEDA, and is part of the global One Planet Living initiative with WWF.

OPP is working with partners within the construction and refurbishment industries to increase the supply and quality of sustainable building products and services, primarily in the residential sector.

We are a bulk buying initiative specifically focused on sustainable and environmental products and materials.

We are now seeking suppliers which manufacture and/or distribute products and materials which have demonstrable environmental benefits and are applicable for use in the residential construction and refurbishment industry.

OPP suppliers make their products available to OPP members at a discounted rate in consideration of the volume of products which the OPP membership purchases each year.

Our members are housing associations, private developers and contractors in the UK.

We anticipate that our members will be building up to 10,000 units in our first year of operation.

This number should increase as our operations are rolled out nationally.

Members are working to incorporate sustainable products into their developments and may be particularly interested in meeting BRE EcoHomes standards.

They are also interested in the savings they can make in both time and money from membership of the OPP group.

With our focus on sustainability, we are asking potential suppliers to provide detailed information about the environmental impact of their products and materials.

The first stage which interested suppliers must complete is to submit a simple confirmation of interest form.

This must be received by by 23rd September 2005.
