Opus Technologies, the leading designer of multi-room entertainment systems and structured wiring solutions, today announced that Mark Coombes, Export Manager of Opus Technologies will be the lead speaker of the "Connected Home Audio" section at The Connected Home Convention which will be held on 24-25 September 2003 in the CBI Conference Centre in London Coombes joins leading industry names including IBM, Cisco, BBC, Siemens, CEDIA, BT, Intel and ADT to present an overview of the multi-room home audio market in the context of the wider home automation industry

The Connected Home Convention is the first home networking conference to focus on content and entertainment that will really bring together all sides of the equation - home network developers, content owners and manufacturers - to provide a forum for this emerging industry.

"The Connected Home Convention is a key indicator that, following established patterns in the USA, networked entertainment and home automation will be the next explosive market to hit the UK and Europe," commented Coombes.

"We believe that this conference will be a great opportunity not only for this emerging industry to develop strategic alliances but also for home builders to get the inside track on how modern homes should be specified." Opus will also have a stand at the conference to demonstrate the Opus 500 series multi-room system.
