The winners of this year's Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards have been announced.

The remodelling of a 1970s home in Lancashire by Shaun Beverley, has been named the Overall Winner.

Shaun bought the house and immediately recognised the potential in the 1970s design.

It has been turned into a stunning home that is contemporary and true to its 1970s roots.

Visitors to homebuilding.co.uk voted for their favourite video from a shortlist of 15 homes.

The winner of the Reader's Choice Award is a oak frame home built by John and Janet Warren in Cheshire.

Other winners of the ten categories include a self-build by the river in Devon, the extension and remodelling of a terraced home in West London, and a new home in Cambridgeshire hand-built by the owners over four years for a very low budget.

The Awards are now in their 17th year and have been sponsored this year by the Government's Planning Portal website.

The Awards aim to recognise the achievement of the nation's 100,000+ strong army of self-builders, renovators and barn converters.

Full details on the awards, and full stories on all the winners, in addition to the 15 videos, can be found at homebuilding.co.uk/awards and in the special January issue of Homebuilding and Renovating magazine.
