Weatherite makes X-ray department cool

A Weatherite Building Services product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 20, 2009

Weatherite Building Services has installed a new air conditioning system within the X-ray departments at Heartlands and Solihull Hospital in Birmingham.

Weatherite beat off stiff competition to win this Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust contract.

The project included the design, supply and installation of 13 Hitachi wall mounted inverter heat pumps within the hospital's busy X-ray departments.

The Hitachi models were chosen for the project because of their energy saving capabilities, reliability and reputation as one of the best on the market.

"The Hitachi units work on a Power Active Module (PAM) system which ensures optimum efficiency" said Mike Turton, sales director, Weatherite Building Services.

"Their built-in technology boasts virtual silent operation and smooth, multi-directional air distribution".

"And of course they use environmentally friendly refrigerant".

Mike added: "It is vital that such hospital departments are kept at the right temperature all year round in order for the machinery to work at its best and for staff and patients to be kept comfortable so, bearing this in mind, we put together the right air conditioning package to suit".

"We know the client is very pleased with the results".
