"I am delighted to be taking on the extra responsibility that the associate role will bring." Director Hugh Dykes added: "Since joining us, Alastair has brought a wealth of experience and professionalism to the firm and we are delighted to see him take on this new position in our Edinburgh office".

Mr Keyte's appointment in Edinburgh is mirrored by the promotion of John McGrath to Associate in Parr Architects' Glasgow office.

Mr Dykes said: "It is wonderful that we have been able to promote such excellent people to help us drive the business forward and cope with the demand that we have seen in recent years".

Parr Architects has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Newcastle and Birmingham employing almost 100 staff.
