Palram polycarbonate sheets safety
approved
Palram polycarbonate sheets now carry the Skin Cancer Foundation seal of recommendation throughout North America.
The 10th Report on Carcinogens, issued by a US Government Agency, states that, 'Broad-spectrum ultraviolet radiation is known to be a human carcinogen based on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity from studies in humans, which indicates a causal relationship between exposure to broad-spectrum ultraviolet radiation and human cancer.' This includes both UV-B and UVA In fact, recent evidence suggests that UV-A, once thought to have no effect, may be even more harmful, For years, we have promoted the fact that Palram polycarbonate sheets block out harmful solar UV radiation

Palsun polycarbonate panels were specified on the largest glazed roof in the world.
Recently, the independent, non-profit Skin Cancer Foundation formally recognized this by awarding their Seal of Recommendation to PALSUN, SUNTUF and SUNLITE polycarbonate sheets marketed throughout North America.
They block out 99.9% of both UV-A and UV-B rays.
This is accomplished without blocking out visible light, allowing the pool, pergola, conservatory, etc to still be illuminated by energy saving natural sunlight.
The protection is offered without the application of potential skin irritants or dressing in an unseasonable fashion.
With skin cancer incidence increasing, this formally recognizes PALRAM polycarbonate sheets as an additional weapon against this disease.
