From Par's creation in 1968 as a specialist acoustics company, Par Louvres was created in 2000 to provide standard and bespoke designs and products for the performance louvre and Brise Soleil markets.

Par Acoustics, as it was originally known, was subject to a management buyout in 1999 and developed its performance louvre and brise soleil business from 2000 onwards It now has a wide portfolio of products including timber brise soleil, illuminated louvre blades and many bespoke designs

Managing Director Tony Colborne says that "Despite the air of pessimism that currently surrounds the economy, Par are steaming ahead securing new contracts and we are very positive about the future.

This optimism comes from the fact that we know what our customers need and we go out of our way to provide it at a sensible price and with a flexible attitude".

Some companies in our field are good at one element of the business but fall below the satisfaction level in others.

It's no good having the best salesman and the cheapest price if you fail to deliver the service on site, or indeed just fail to deliver on time! It's not that we are faultless, but we do try to keep our customers on side throughout the whole process from design stage to commissioning.

As we do a lot of repeat business, then I guess we have got it right most of the time".

Par have an impressive client base and have worked on numerous prestigious projects including the new Wembley Stadium.

Working with some of Britain's top architectural practices and contractors, Par can offer help and advice at design stage and also undertake CPD presentations on louvre and brise soleil systems.

The aims of the company are to continue to add to its innovative product range in order to give architects more choice.

More emphasis is being given to use sustainable materials such as timber where possible.

Par also wants to continue to be seen as the company that says "yes" when asked, "can it be done?".
