To ensure each bedroom maintains a fresh environment without intrusive noise from the nearby motorway, ISG Totty proposed the inclusion of a Passivent Fresh TLF-dB Acoustic wall ventilator, fitted into the top of the curtain wall transoms in each of the 120 bedrooms.
Chosen because of client requirements for discreet, controllable background ventilation and Building Regulation Approved Document F1 requirements giving up to 5000mm2 free area of ventilation, the vent is non-mechanical requiring no electricity to operate, and designed to provide efficient dust- and pollen filtered air distribution throughout the room without draughts.
The Fresh TLF-dB additionally provides integral acoustic attenuation up to 44dBn,e,w ensuring noise from traffic outside does not penetrate into the room.
The vent styling blends in with the contemporary design and ambience of the hotel.
For the room occupant, the vent can be easily adjusted if required by a slider operated precision damper.
Integral insulation within the fascia prevents possible condensation.
