Passivent natural ventilation has enhanced the sustainable design of the redevelopment of Swindon Central Library which won a BREEAM award in the Bespoke category.

Passivent Aircool window inlets bring outside air into the building while eliminating noise from surrounding roads.

The natural ventilation system installed into the building comprises of 23 window Aircool units, five wall Aircool units, eight Aircool internal louvres and roof outlets.

Window actuators to operate second and third floor top opening windows were installed to maintain a constant temperature and air quality throughout the year.

The complete system is managed through Passivent's multizone iC central controller which operates on internal and external temperature and internal CO2 levels.
