Passivent offers no maintenance ventilation
Passivent's Passive Stack Ventilation (PSV) and Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) can be retrofitted to ensure compliance with building regulations and the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The systems require no ongoing maintenance and both eliminate the need for occupant input to keep the system running as required.
Passivent offers energy efficient ventilation systems which require no maintenance
The Passivent systems offer a reduced risk of condensation from water vapour produced in the average home, and its associated impact on maintenance costs.
Passivent iPSV requires no electricity to function, working automatically in reaction to changes in humidity.
Utilising natural variations in air temperature and pressure, the PSV system draws fresh air into the home and exhausts the used internal air.
It cannot be disconnected so it will always work when needed.
It can be fitted as a whole house ventilation system or a single stack in a wet room.
There are no fans or other mechanical parts requiring regular maintenance, servicing or replacement, or which generate noise when operating.
Passivent PIV functions using only a low energy fan in the roofspace which runs continually.
It draws fresh air from the loft into the rooms below, displacing used air in the process which vents through gaps in the building fabric.
This alleviates condensation and the potential for mould.
A temperature sensor continuously monitors incoming air temperature, boosting the system to heat recovery mode when conditions are beneficial, providing free solar energy.
